Introduction
Many accept eternity as a concept, but few live as if it’s coming. Episode One introduced the truth that eternity is real and rooted in God. Now, we move into the everyday implications: How does believing in eternity transform our present life?
"So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom."
— Psalm 90:12 (ESV)
If eternity is the endless destination, then today is the starting point of the journey. THINK ABOUT IT!
1. Time Is a Temporary Trust
Time is one of God's greatest gifts—and one of the most limited.
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."
— Ephesians 5:15–16 (ESV)
We are not promised tomorrow. A life shaped by eternity doesn’t waste today. Every moment, conversation, and opportunity counts in light of forever.
2. Eternal Mindset Brings Peace in Trials
When storms come—illness, loss, betrayal—we remember they are temporary.
"For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison."
— 2 Corinthians 4:17 (ESV)
Eternal hope gives us courage to endure. It reminds us that our sufferings are not meaningless, but shaping us for a glory that lasts forever.
3. Eternal Priorities Shape Our Decisions
What we value today shows what we believe about eternity.
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth... but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven."
— Matthew 6:19–20 (ESV)
Success isn’t measured by what we gather, but by what we give—love, truth, service, faith. A life built on eternal values leaves a legacy that outlives us.
4. Living Eternally Means Walking Closely with Christ
Eternal life is not just future residence in heaven—it is a current relationship with God.
"Abide in me, and I in you... for apart from me you can do nothing."
— John 15:4–5 (ESV)
Daily communion with Christ strengthens us, transforms us, and prepares us. The closer we walk with Him now, the more we’ll long for His eternal presence.
Conclusion: Let Eternity Redefine Your Today
Eternity is not only real—it’s urgent. Not just a theological idea but a call to action. It changes how we pray, how we work, how we forgive, and how we hope.
"Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last."
— C.T. Studd
Let us live each day with heaven in our hearts and eternity in our sights.
