⛅ Eternity Is Real – Episode Six: The Second Coming of Christ Is Certain

Introduction

The world may ignore or mock it, but Scripture is crystal clear: Jesus is coming again.

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command... and the dead in Christ will rise first."
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (ESV)

The second coming of Christ is not fantasy. It’s a guaranteed, global event. And for those who are watching, it is our blessed hope.

1. Jesus Promised to Return

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself."
— John 14:3 (ESV)

His first coming was in humility; His second will be in glory and power. He is not done. He is coming back—to judge, to reward, and to reign.

2. No One Knows the Day

"But concerning that day and hour no one knows... only the Father."
— Matthew 24:36 (ESV)

This keeps us awake and alert. Jesus taught us not to predict, but to prepare. Like wise servants awaiting their master’s return (Luke 12:35–40).

3. It Will Be Sudden and Visible

"Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him."
— Revelation 1:7 (ESV)

There will be no mistaking it. Not secret. Not symbolic. Every eye will see the King returning. Will we rejoice—or shrink in fear?

Reflection Questions

  • Am I living as though Christ could return today?

  • Is my life filled with things I’d be proud to show Him?

  • How can I help others be ready for His return?
